“My brother-in-law was unable to go to the hill climb in his Hardy Special, so he offered it to me, even though I’d never driven it before. It’s a very special car and it’s extremely fast. It’s usually my nemesis in the class!”

“Having never driven the car before, I wasn’t at all confident of victory. I think if we’d had another run, both Eddie and James would have beaten me. The Hardy is considerably more powerful than the Wasp and handles in a completely different way.”
Finishing in a time of 47.25 seconds – more than two seconds faster than last year – Winston is very happy to have beaten his 2015 class record.
