An Awe-Inspiring Spectacle of Pure Motorsport

The Chateau Impney Hill Climb Club is proud to bring motorsport back to Droitwich on an annual basis at the Chateau Impney Hill Climb.

The Chateau Impney Hill Climb returned in 2018 and saw over 200 competitors sprint up the challenging, MSA-approved 1,000-yard course in an attempt to beat the clock.

The current course record of 38.86 seconds was set by Malcolm Thorne in a Louts 35 F2, shaving almost half a second off the time set in 2017. Malcolm was awarded the Ken Wharton Memorial Trophy, kindly donated by the Hagley and District Light Car Club.

Second and third place was taken by Martin Jones in a Brabham BT 21B and Justin Maeers in a Lola T70 MKII with times of 39.95 and 41.38 seconds respectively. The competition for the top places was fought determinedly, and the drivers made sure to push the cars to their limits.
