The VSCC Presents Premier Cru Racing

Thursday 26 February 2015

The Vintage Sports-Car Club, one of our Associated Clubs, are launching an exclusive new series of races for original pre-war racing cars, including celebrated marques such as ERA, Bugatti, Maserati and Alfa Romeo.

The Premier Cru Racing series will provide a true showcase for the pioneering years of Grand Prix racing of the 1920s and 30s with only the most original pre-war machinery taking part – no ‘specials’ or sports cars. Spectators will be able to see a diverse range of races at each event, with awards for vintage, post-vintage, two-seater racing cars and continental cars.

There will be three Premier Cru Racing events during the 2015 VSCC Season, with a 20-minute race at their Silverstone (National Circuit – 18 April), Oulton Park (Fosters Circuit – 18 July) and Snetterton (200 Circuit – 27 September) meetings.

Competitors will also have the chance to take part in some of the VSCC’s other prestigious and historic trophy races at each meeting, many dating back to the 1950s, commemorating some of the most celebrated names in British motorsport such as Richard Seaman and Mike Hawthorn.
