The VSCC will return to Cadwell Park on Sunday 24 July to celebrate 40 years of racing at the Lincolnshire venue, and fierce competition for the Shuttleworth and Nuffield trophies is to be expected.
Widely known as the UK’s ‘Mini Nürburgring’, Cadwell’s 2.2 miles of twists and undulations are more often seen as a playground for motorbikes but have proven a favourite amongst pre-war and historic racing cars throughout the years.
The day’s action-packed 12-race programme will feature a wide variety of pre-war, historic and classic cars, with the VSCC’s traditional trophy races for pre-1931 vintage racing cars, pre-1961 racing cars and pre-war sports cars taking centre stage. Three ERA representatives, including Julian Wilton’s R7B, which took part in the 1976 event, will be returning to their home turf for what is sure to be a fantastic meet.
Practice begins at 9am and racing starts at 1pm, following the lunch break. Tickets are available on the day and are priced at £20 each.
