It’s been five years since the VSCC’s last visit to the celebrated Cheshire venue and a strong crowd of spectators is expected to attend, with a fantastic line-up of pre- and post-war cars signed up to take part.
Amongst those cars will be a number of ERAs that competed at the inaugural Chateau Impney Hill Climb, including Paddins Dowling in ERA R10B (pictured on the right at Chateau Impney) and Nick Topliss in ERA R4A.
Several other Chateau Impney competitors will also attend the meet, including Fred Harper in the Kurtis Indy-Roadster, Tony Lees in the AC/GN Cognac and Tom Walker, winner of Class 9 at the Chateau Impney Hill Climb, in his Amilcar Hispano Special.
A fantastic turnout of pre-war sports cars will be on hand to contest many of the day’s Trophy and Handicap Races, culminating in a thrilling line-up for the Club’s much-loved annual Team Relay Race. The 90-minutes endurance event will play host to 18 teams of three cars as friendly intermarque rivalry takes centre stage, with Riley, Frazer Nash, MG, Austin, Lagonda, Talbot and Alvis badges amongst those represented.
There’s also plenty to keep the whole family entertained, including trade stands, a lunchtime air display, a cream tea and Pimm’s tent, live music and a fun fair.
The event takes place on Saturday 18 July from 8.30am. To buy tickets, visit the Oulton Park website.
