We are delighted to announce that 2018 will see the return of an array of thrilling historic World Championship Rally Cars!
The stunning Subaru Impreza WRC that Colin McRae MBE raced to victory at the RAC Rally GB in 1997 will be joining us at the Chateau. McRae raced with Subaru from 1993–1998, winning his first World Rally Championship Drivers Title in 1995, becoming the youngest to do so, at 27 years old.
We will also have the Ford Escort WRC that was raced by Carlos Sainz in 1996/67. Carlos Sainz is a Spanish racing driver who is decorated with a plethora of Championships and wins, after beginning his rally career at the young age of 18, will be in attendance. He won the World Rally Championship drivers' title with Toyota in 1990 and 1992. In 1996, Sainz re-joined Ford for two seasons in the Ford Escort WRC, racing to victory at the 1997 Acropolis Rally.
You can also look forward to seeing both the Mitsubishi Evo WRC, that was driven by Kristian Solberg in 2004 as well as the Hyundai Accent WRC driven by Freddi Loix in 2002 New Zealand Rally, where he finished 6th.
Look out for more information and more cars to be announced in the lead up to the event!
