Joy for Peter as Lotus Driver Takes Class Win

Friday 24 July 2015

Peter Joy didn't know what the competition would be like in Class 11, so he was delighted to take the fastest time in the Pre-1961 Sports and Sports Racing Cars up to 2200cc class.

Tacking the course in his Lotus Elite, Peter never set out to win so was over the moon to come out on top:

“It felt very good to win and I certainly didn’t expect it. The course was excellent, I really enjoyed it. There weren’t too many long straights and there were lots of twisty bits, so it was fantastic for people with lower powered cars.

“It was a fantastic event, I was really impressed with it. I thought the guys who organised it did a fantastic job of it, I take my hat off to them!”
