Bugatti Type 35B Brings French Glamour to an English Chateau

Thursday 2 June 2016

Mike Preston's stunning Bugatti Type 35B is the pinnacle of elegant French Grand Prix design, and what better backdrop could it get than the Chateau?

Mike’s pristine emerald-blue Bugatti Type 35B has been used for competition since it was built in 1926, and can often be found on Prescott Speed Hill Climb’s leafy course. It looked right at home at the inaugural Chateau Impney Hill Climb, set against our Louis XIII-inspired hotel.

Competing in Class 4 (Pre-1940 Special Sports Cars and All Supercharged Sports Cars over 1500cc), Mike achieved a time of 51.28 seconds – coming second in class.
