The class was won by crowd-favourite Mark Walker driving the Darracq 200Hp who completed the course in 52.07 seconds.
For Mark, the win wasn’t a complete surprise having triumphed many times before at numerous venues and events. “I was thrilled to win at the first Chateau Impney. I had hoped to win before the event and I am delighted to say I did. My biggest rival was the Hudson Super Six but I have a good car so while the competition was good, I was always confident.
While Mark found the Chateau Impney course challenging, it was a layout that suited the Darracq and Mark’s driving style.
“It was a good hill and I really enjoyed it, although I did find it difficult to see the corners, especially that first left turn, which lots of people missed.
