“The Chateau Impney hill is one of the most challenging technical hills I have had the pleasure to compete on, suited to the light nimble car as well as the heavier, more powerful machines.”
Justin Maeers entered the GN Parker Special, in the Pre-1940 Racing Cars over 3000cc Class, securing the class win with a time of 44.57 seconds. Julian Grimwade, last year’s class winner, was close behind in second place, with a time of 44.98 seconds.
This was not the only class win for Justin. He also enjoyed success in Class 12, with the Cooper Monaco.
“The spectacular lunch-time displays did not disappoint, and seeing a top fuel dragster doing burning out starts all the way up the hill completed the motorsport thrills for me,” Justin said about the general event.
