If you’re from the West Midlands, you may well have spotted us on the evening edition of BBC Midlands Today during the Hill Climb weekend. If not, don’t worry – we’ve got a clip from the programme below, including interviews with Rachael Williams, who drove the Hardy Special, and Duncan Pittaway, owner of the Beast of Turin.


It was seen as one of the most prestigious motor sports races in the country which developed the careers of leading drivers. The Chateau Impney Sprint in Droitwich ran until the late 1960s, showcasing many cars made in the Midlands. More than half a century later, the event is back...in the form of a rigorous hill climb.
