The two-day event featured Championships from the Welsh and North West Associations, the HSA and Service Hydraulics Speed Series, the Reliant Scimitar and Sabres as well as the club’s own ‘Allswage’ Loton Park Championship. The weekend also saw diverse action from motorbikes and trikes, and Morgan three-wheelers.
One of the highlights of the meeting saw Andrew Cottrill set a new record of 57.79 seconds driving the Subaru Impreza in the Road Going Production Cars over 2000cc Class; breaking a 12 year-old record previously set by Roy Stanley.
Member Will Hall set the best time on both days driving the Force WH V6 but was chased hard by Jason Mourant’s OMS 25, who along with Simon Andrews in his shared 1000cc OMS 28, were the only drivers over the two days to break the 50 second barrier.
The next meeting at Loton Park takes place on 16 and 17 May when H&DLCC will host the club’s first two-day National ‘A’ meeting of the year.
