Top Lots For Sale at H&H Christmas Gala Auction

A number of exciting lots have been announced for H&H?s Christmas auction at Chateau Impney on 9 December, including a rare Bentley and a popular Morgan Super Sports.

1936 Bentley 4.25 Litre Gurney Nutting Pillarless Coupe

Reputedly 1 of just 11 Curvilinear Coupes made, this exceptional car has been in its current ownership since 1974 and is well known as a contender at various high profile Concours d'Elegance events – the most recent being Chantilly in September 2015.
Estimate: £180,000–£220,000

1962 Jaguar E-Type 3.8 litre Roadster

One of only 943 right-hand drive examples made, this Jaguar E-Type was restored to Concours standard in Sydney in 2007 and recently repatriated. It has matching numbers and has been repainted and retrimmed in its original livery.
Estimate: £100,000–£120,000

1933 Lagonda 3 / 4.5 Litre Tourer

This stunning tourer comes from the estate of West Midlands engineer and jazz musician Jim Shelley, who purchased it in 1971. It boasts a tuned Meadows 4.5 litre engine, high ratio back axle and bespoke coachwork. Well known in Lagonda circles, it has also been profiled in the Lagonda Club magazine.
Estimate: £90,000–£110,000

1933 Morgan Super Sports – 'The Atomic Orange'

A well-known car in VSCC, VMCC and Morgan three-wheeler circles, the Atomic Orange is twice winner of the Morgan Championship and has recently emerged from a thorough mechanical and cosmetic restoration. With circa 70bhp on tap from its JAP V-Twin, the two-seater offers plenty of speed but is still road registered and usable.
Estimate: £30,000–£35,000

1933 Austin Seven Single Seater

Built-up in the 1970s and subsequently raced with the 750 Motor Club, this handsome single-seater is modelled on one of the famous Austin Seven 'Twin Cam' racers. Recently emerging from a five-year restoration, its sidevalve engine features a Phoenix crankshaft and racing pistons.
Estimate: £19,000–£25,000

As well as the auction itself, H&H will be celebrating the season with a spectacular gala dinner in the Chateau on Tuesday 8 December. There are limited places available for the gala dinner, and tickets are priced at £60, including a delicious three-course dinner.
