The top five drivers within the Pre-1940 Racing cars up to 1100cc class were all within one second of each other, providing a fight for the winner. In the end, Gary Clare was the one who came out on top, with a time of 49.98 seconds in ‘Grannie’.
“Chateau Impney is such a wonderful event. It is already up there with Goodwood and VSCC Prescott for me and, in some ways, better than both. Congratulations to Rod, Charlie, Victoria and all of the team,” Gary said when asked his thoughts on the event.
The Chateau Impney Hill Climb 2018 will be held on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 July.
