The theme of the Concours is ‘Through the Ages’ with the classes so far announced as:
• Pre-1925
• 1926-50
• 1951-75
The only class now left to reveal is 1976 – present day.
2018 Aston Martin V12 Vantage AMR
This striking sportscar has been entered into the Concours by Fisher Restorations. One of just one hundred ever built by Aston Martin, this V12 Vantage AMR has substance as well as style.
Launched at the Geneva Motor Show in 2017, the AMR has been inspired by Aston Martin Racing’s success in the FIA World Endurance Championship. As a result, it has a top speed of 205mph, 595 bhp and a 0-60mph time of 3.6 seconds.
Finished in a bold electric blue, this car will certainly be turning heads at the Hill Climb!
1984 Jaguar XJS 3.6 Burberry
Another rare specimen, this 1984 Jaguar XJS is one of just two ever produced with the distinctive Burberry interior. This cabriolet has been entered in to the Concours by Classic Motor Cars and features a 3.6 engine, manual gearbox and has travelled a mere 23,008 miles since new. The blue leather and Burberry check interior is also complemented by the Sapphire Blue paintwork.
Originally owned by Burberry, the car was purchased by the current owner in 1996.
Now that the final pair has been announced, we can start the search for the People’s Choice winner of the Footman James Concours d’Elegance. Keep an eye on the Footman James and CIHC’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts next week to vote for your favourite!
