From 2016 to 2018, the FJHRA will undertake the biggest tournin the club’s history – the Diamond Jubilee World Tour. The tour will see the club compete in numerous countries, including South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Monaco and the UK. While some parts of the competition will take place as individual classes at other well-established events, such as the Goodwood Revival Meeting or Brands Hatch Superprix, other rounds will focus entirely around Formula Junior racing, providing a fantastic opportunity for fans around the world to come together and watch some great motorsport.
This isn’t the first time that the FJHRA community have organised such an expansive tour. In 2008, the FJHRA organised a Golden Jubilee World Tour, with races taking place across four continents. However, the Diamond Jubilee World Tour plans to be bigger and better than ever before, bolstered by an ever-growing Formula Junior community and the patronage of Howden Ganley, one of New Zealand’s most famous former F1 drivers.
We wish the FJHRA all the best of luck with the world tour, and look forward to following the action as it happens – keep coming back to the Chateau Impney Hill Climb blog for the latest race reports. You can find out more about the tourn on the FJHRA website by clicking on the button below.
