The ERA Club was first established in 1936 by a group of enthusiasts who wanted to celebrate and honour English Racing Automobiles, the UK’s latest racing marque. Although the club’s activity was interrupted by World War II, the club has been very active since the 1950s, and we’re thrilled to be associated with a club with such heritage.
Like several of our other Associated Clubs, the ERA Club meets regularly at Chateau Impney for events such as its annual dinner and AGM, and several of its members were present at our preview day last year. This year’s Hill Climb will feature nine of the world’s remaining ERAs – eight competing, one on static display. The competing ERAs will no doubt be ready to battle it out for the fastest time of day, and we’re looking forward to seeing them in action.
