Competing in the Pre-1940 Standard and Modified Sports Cars Unsupercharged up to 1500cc class, Edward triumphed in a highly competitive field full of seasoned competitors all looking for their first win on the Chateau course.
He said: “I was slightly worried about Patrick and Jo Blakeney Edwards, but in the end, the car had the edge. The course was quite technical, with lots of very tight bits, like the roundabout and the chicane after it. It was difficult, but in a good way. The corner in front of the hotel was quite deceiving. When I walked it on Friday, it looked easy, but trust me it wasn’t!”
