Richard Scaldwell (number 65), driving the De Dietrich in the Edwardian and Veteran Cars class, said: "The hill’s awful – if you’re in a car like mine! It’s very exciting, but the corners are very tiny for a car like this.
"I’ll go faster tomorrow, and if in doubt, I’ll spin the wheels a little and make a show of it!”
