Are you involved with any car clubs?
I’m a member of the Hagley & District Light Car Club.
How did you first get involved with historic motorsport?
I first started writing down the times for the timekeepers at the original Chateau Impney sprint events in the 1960s, when I was in my teens. My interest in motorsport came about due to my late father, Fred Fletcher, and my brother, Tony Fletcher.
Could you explain a little bit more about your role during the Hill Climb event?
As Secretary of the Meeting, I will be signing on drivers, liaising with the MSA Steward, be the point of contact for officials and drivers and will assist with the provision of results.
Could you give us a few examples of other motorsport events you’ve been involved with?
I have been an MSA timekeeper for over 40 years, timing Loton Park, Prescott, Shelsley Walsh, Gurston and Doune, as well as other venues. In the last two years I have also taken on the role of Secretary of the Meeting at Loton Park.
