Mike Hawley bought the Mercury four years ago. He was at the Chateau last year in a different car, but decided to come back in the Mercury this year.
Mike said: “The Mercury is quicker! My other car is a bit big and heavy for the Chateau. I don’t have high hopes for this class but I’m looking forward to it. I used to race Grand Prix cars, but now competing is all about having fun.”
The Chapman Mercury III was built by Oliver Tomlin’s grandfather and Oliver is driving the Chapman Mercury III here this year.
