Tickets for this weekend's Hill Climb can be purchased online until Friday, or on the gate.
Overlooking the Hill Climb course, the Footman James Concours d’Elegance is a celebration of motorsport heritage shared by the grass-roots club movement and Chateau Impney, and promises to be an unmissable display of beautiful, powerful automobiles.
Traditionally, a Concours d’Elegance is judged by a specialist panel, but the Footman James Concours d'Elegance will choose its winner via a public vote. However, with so many incredible cars taking part, it’s going to be tough to decide which car is the most impressive!
2015 Best in Class
At the 2015 event, the 1953 Ferrari 250 MM GT in the Italian Exotica category received the most overall votes, and it's easy to see why. This stunning Ferrari was one of only 18 250 MM PF Berlinettas built, and was sold new to Mexican racing driver Efraín Ruiz Echeverría, who used it to compete in the 1953 Carrera Panamericana. He finished 7th as the top privateer and earned the highest ever ranking for a Mexican driver in the five years the race was run. Today the car is fully restored to modern concours-quality and is part of a private collection.
The 2015 Concours d'Elegance winners were as follows:
Italian Exotica – 1953 Ferrari 250 MM GT
Racing Heritage – 1955 Jaguar D-Type
Touring in Style – 1951 Lancia Aurelia B50 Pininfarina Cabriolet
Best of British – 1992 Jaguar XJ220
