Awe-Inspiring Air Displays

As well as a host of motorsport action, the Chateau Impney Hill Climb will also feature spectacular air displays.

All of our breathtaking air displays will take place within the lunchtime break period, with displays on both days of the Hill Climb. So whether you’re joining us for the day or are enjoying the whole weekend at the Chateau, you can look forward to a fantastic show.

Red Devils

We’re delighted to welcome the spectacular Red Devils, the official display team of the Parachute Regiment, to the 2016 Chateau Impney Hill Climb.

The Red Devils’ amazing performance will take place during the Sunday lunchtime break, where they will jump from 13,000ft above ground and free fall, performing a number of impressive manoeuvres before pulling the chutes open and deploying the Union Jack.

The team is composed of 12 serving soldiers from the Parachute Regiment who perform over 60 jumps a year, both day and night, at a range of public events. The team was officially formed in 1964 and have been performing across the world ever since.

RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight

We’re thrilled to welcome the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight to Chateau Impney for the first time at this year’s Hill Climb.

The Memorial Flight was launched following World War II to ensure that the last remaining examples of the Hurricane and the Spitfire, the legendary fighters that had won the Battle of Britain, would be kept in the air. Keep your eyes to the skies during the lunchtime breaks to see them in action!

Both the Spitfire and Hurricane will fly past on Saturday 9 July, and the Spitfire will fly past alone on Sunday 10 July.

To find out more about the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, visit the RAF website.

Please note that all air displays are subject to good weather and optimum flight conditions.
