2015 – The Inaugural Event
The first Chateau Impney Hill Climb took place on Saturday 11–Sunday 12 July 2015, and was a phenomenal weekend of historic motorsport. The new course, which is double the length of the original sprint course, proved to be highly challenging.
An impressive line-up of cars took part, including the Fiat S76, best known as the Beast of Turin, pre-war Grand Prix Bugatti Type 35s, a historic Monaco-winning Alfa Romeo P3 Tipo B, over half of the world’s remaining ERAs, and a huge number of 50s and 60s sports cars, including C-Type and D-Type Jaguars. Jack Woodhouse gained the fastest time of day and set the inaugural record in the Lotus 20/22 with a time of 42.42 seconds, firmly cementing his place in a new chapter of Chateau Impney’s motorsport history.
